TWIC Transportation Workers Identification Credentials “RENEWAL” HELP!!!!?
I am a U.S.Merchant Marine. After a two week wait for an appointment I turned in my application for renewal on June 1st 2009. Now in the adjudication process for 15 weeks. TWIC Help Desk is no help. They only add notations to an account no one seems to be looking at. I also can not afford to travel again to Houston, where I filed, and need the card delivered to NY,NY. TWIC Help Desk says they can only send it after it arrives in Houston and it take an additional 3 to 4 weeks to arrive in NY.
Any one else have any luck getting their card processed more quickly
Twic is the biggest bunch of BS. Another way for the government to collect a fee for the privilege of allowing you to work. It’s a government agency, of course they are of no help. Good luck with that, I had to go through so much BS to get my Twic card the first time, hope I don’t have as much trouble as you renewing it.
