How can I fix this. . . .?

When my purse was stolen I had to close my account and open a new one. I had made 3 payments 2 days earlier, and all of them went through. Unfortunately, one of the providers processed this payment two days after I had closed my account. But their online account showed the transaction had been made before the account was closed, so I didn’t realize the payment was reversed by Wells Fargo b/c this payment was considered a paper check transaction, until I recieved this month’s bill. Now I am being charged a $30 checking fee because of the reversal, a late fee of $35, last month’s bill, and this month!!! I called the provider, and they told me to talk to my bank about the reversal. When I did, the bank rep said they couldn’t do anything about it. I realize I should have notified the credit provider about the account transfer, but didn’t think it necesary since the online account showed my payment thru. I’m working to pay for school right now, and can hardly afford this! Any suggestions?

Call the credit provider and explain the purse issue, again if you already did and tell them you didn’t understand that they don’t process your payments right away… Because of this they charged you $35.00 and you don’t feel that is right. If you explain this to the manager, most have the power to forgive this once….
