Online payment for Citi credit card?

I’m a new credit card user trying to make an online payment for my citi credit card. I have a ‘current balance’ shown but when I try to make a payment, my statement balance is shown as $0.00. Does that mean my current balance isn’t due until a later time? If so, how do I find out the due date? There is a due date in the next few days and I just want to make sure I don’t end up making a late payment.

If you recently got this card (as in, within the last month) then you likely do not have a payment due.

I have a Citi account too. On the very main screen (if yours is shown the same online than mine) in the middle yet towards the left you should see where it says “Current Balance as of Today” and the balance, and then right below it “Minimum Payment Due.” If it’s telling you there’s a minimum balance due, you need to make at least that.

Your payment is based upon your most recent statement. If your statement had a zero balance, you would not yet owe any money.

Of course, not to preach, it’s best to pay off the balance as soon as you can so you can avoid finance charges and also avoid building debt.
